OP OP! Does the BMW X1 with a 2.0 diesel engine have a place in the market?
My opinion on this car is not very positive, as it feels more like a MINI and was made to reduce production costs. The X1 F48 has a transverse engine layout, an Aisin gearbox, and front-wheel drive.
Technical part: Engines such as B37, B38, B47, and B48 were installed on these cars.
The car is black and has a decent exterior, even though it lacks the M-package.
Interior: The car has a rather classic interior, although some elements are unique, like the seats, steering wheel, and dashboard.
Equipment: The car has seat and steering wheel heating, parking sensors all around, a rearview camera, a black ceiling, and a panoramic roof.
Trunk: The car has a fairly spacious trunk with an electric drive.
Driving experience: The car is stiffer than the X3 F25, and the car's dynamics are sufficient for a woman (but not enough for a young man), the gearbox is less responsive.
Objectively, this car doesn't evoke any emotions. The goal behind creating it was to save costs and attract people who previously drove more budget-friendly brands.
Conclusion: In most cases, such cars are bought by those whose goal is simply to move from point A to point B or for a woman/wife. If you're a true BMW fan who loves driving, you’re unlikely to choose the X1 F48… For everyday life, it’s a fairly interesting car, with good equipment, low fuel consumption, normal dynamics, and everything needed to move from point A to point B.
