Our BMW X3 F25 with a 2.0 diesel N47 engine was purchased with a mileage of 175,000 kilometers. Over 2 years, the car drove 50,000 kilometers, and the following work was done:
– 180,000 kilometers: technical maintenance, oil, fuel, and air filter replacement, and engine oil change. Cost was $230
– 181,000 kilometers: windows were tinted. Cost $225
– 191,000 kilometers: engine oil change with all filters, oil change in the differentials, transfer case, and automatic transmission. Cost $545.
– 200,000 kilometers: oil and filter replacement. Cost $170.
– 202,000 kilometers: engine mounts, half-shaft replacement, removal and installation of the driveshaft and half-shaft, and alignment to eliminate vibrations. Cost was $500.
– 210,000 kilometers: technical maintenance, oil and filters, as well as brake disc and pad replacement all around. Cost $540.
– 212,000 kilometers: replacement of front control arms and rear floating bushings. Cost $170.
– 218,000 kilometers: technical maintenance + headlight bulb replacement to LED. Cost $300.
– 225,000 kilometers: diagnostic check and coolant top-up. Cost $10.
– 228,000 kilometers: scheduled maintenance, engine oil change, air and oil filter replacement, and air conditioning refill. Cost $150.
Total maintenance cost for the car over 2 years of use: $2850, or $1425 per year.
Cost per kilometer driven on the car – $0.05.
Fuel consumption: mixed consumption of 8.5 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers.
