Flooded BMW F30 320 from the USA: Is it worth buying?

OP OP! Article about a BMW F30 brought from the USA after being flooded.

The car was purchased more than 3 years ago in the USA for $4400.

Without repairs in Ukraine, its cost was $11,500. The water line was below the middle of the door. After the F30 arrived in Ukraine, the rear seats were wet, and moisture was also found in the trunk, with water also present in the engine.

Over time, the engine was removed for repair, and the car was left to dry out. The engine repair was done properly, with new liners, bearings, and a restoration of the cylinder head. After the engine repair, issues were found with the safety block, ASM block, and DME block. After replacing the ASM block, the errors in the safety and DME blocks disappeared.

After replacing the ASM block, the sound amplifier located in the trunk was also replaced.

Restoration Costs:

– Engine repair ($2500)

– Electrical: ASM block, multimedia amplifier block, seat blocks + drying of the interior ($1100)

– Maintenance: major service, oil change in the transmission, differential, transfer case ($500)

Final cost of the car was $17,000.
