OP OP! An article about our project BMW F11 525d, as you remember in the previous article we assembled the engine...
Today we plan to measure the dynamics of 0-100 km/h, 100-200 km/h, and measure power on a stand with different chip tuning firmware.
MILEAGE : 300,000 kilometers+
CAR WEIGHT : 1900 kilograms
Having done computer diagnostics after the first trip, it was necessary to register the injectors, we successfully did this and Slava went home.
On the way home I really liked the car. After driving 50 kilometers, we removed the oil filter and saw almost no metal shavings there.
After we made sure that everything was ok with the engine, we decided to start measuring power.
The first measurement was on the firmware with which the car arrived from Odessa:
0-100 km/h – 6.3s
The second measurement was on the stock firmware:
0-100 km/h – 7.72s
The third measurement was from our chip tuning department, Stage 1:
0-100 km/h – 5.98s
During operation, the car pleasantly surprised me with its consumption of 8 liters per 100 kilometers.
The fourth measurement was on our Stage 1 firmware, but with an xHP automatic transmission chip:
0-100 km/h – 5.85s
100-200 km/h – 23.69s
Next, we decided to measure the power on a bench using stock firmware, safe firmware, and our evil firmware.
Our evil firmware Stage 1: 265 horsepower
Safe firmware Stage 1: 250 horsepower
Results: about 50 measurements were taken on the car, there was constant throttle operation, the car drove from Kiev to Lvov without any problems. At our service center in Lviv, the oil filter was checked for the presence of metal shavings, where none were found at all.
